Evan Thomas on "Imus in the Morning" - "They took Kerry's cell-phone away from him twice."
"Imus in the Morning" program on MSNBC | November 4, 2004 | Evan Thomas

Posted on 11/04/2004 3:27:35 AM PST by snarks_when_bored

Evan Thomas was just on "Imus in the Morning" on MSNBC. He's starting to spill his guts on the stuff the MSM hid from the public about John Kerry and his campaign.

First, Thomas admits that Kerry's staff took his cell-phone away from him twice, in order to prevent him from calling hundreds of people to decide what he should think about a particular issue. Imus adds that Kerry called him, Imus, on more than one occasion asking for advice.

This information was apparently not deemed newsworthy before John Kerry might have been elected President of the United States.

Next, Thomas candidly describes Teresa Heinz-Kerry as a self-absorbed hypchondriac. Whenever she spoke to gatherings during the campaign, she was boring and concentrated only on herself. (Of course, we knew that, but what we see is that the MSM was holding back from describing the kind of disaster that even they knew Teresa would have been had she become First Lady.)

More 'revelations' will doubtless follow.

I hoped that he saved some of his salary and his Chrysler convertible, because he's gonna need somewhere to live when Teresa sobers up and dumps him. The house is Boston is mortgaged to the hilt and I believe it is the only community property. The SUV question answer seems to point to the fact that everything including the clothes on his back have come from the Heinz family trust. Even rich Dems live off other people's money. LOL

None of Rove's pro-Bush critics (and there are many) were calling for a bloody bull-fight. Just the facts, mam. Nothing but the facts. There was a mountain of facts. They didn't use them.

Look, the SBV did yeoman's work: a best-selling book, TV spots, and the tireless work of all involved, and especially spokesman John O'Neill. We all owe the Swiftees a debt of gratitude -- and admiration. Their work was impressive because it was non-partisan and selfless -- something we don't often see in America.

I believe the swiftees cemented a lot of votes, but unfortunately, the dedicated anti-military liberal vote would not have been decimated by even the most sensational of scandals regarding Kerry's military record, and, more importantly, given the pro-Kerry, anti-military legions of the MSM, if Bush had used the material instead of leaving it to the Swiftees it would have backfired -- big time.

I can understand your disappointment that you weren't able to totally crush Kerry, but now is the time to rejoice in your achievement -- you helped prevent a traitor from becoming Commander in Chief of our military in a time of war.

Well done.

First internal Kerry campaign staffer of any rank to come out with a tell-all book is the millionaire, even if they choose the pseudonym 'Anonymous'.

On your marks...

"I don't see how Kerry will be able to stay in the Senate for the rest of his term."

I certainly hope you're right. He doesn't deserve to be there. The Hildebeast doesn't deserve to be there either, although she has a 60% approval rating I'm hearing.

I feel so violated by the msm. They clearly tried to manipulate me and my vote by withholding critical information - and then twisting the info they did give.

Thank God for allowing us to re-elect our President, a "what you see is what you get" kind of man - vs. a man who is completely packaged and phony.

Mama T - a self-absorbed hypochondriac? (surprise!) I would really like to know if she was that way before she married lurch OR did he drive her to the edge the way he drove his first wife there?

Kerry's an empty suit, no leadership abilities, but we knew that.

It never ceases to amaze me that so many Americans couldn't see through this man. He's but a facade put up by the mainstream media and the leftists and the rest of the "anybody-but-Bush" crowd. And yet, they came out in droves to vote for him, seemingly oblivious to his lack of substance.

What is wrong with people on the left?

I am hoping that soon, verrry soon, I will no longer be hearing on a daily basis those who raised their fist in 1969 and have never gotten over it. Man, is she trite and time-warped.

So nice of him to share that...finally. That the MSM would let this disaster of a man, a real weirdo who thinks he's JFK, become our president without telling us he's asking that old drunk, Imus, for advice just shows they do not love the USA.

"Sorry I am having my eye operated on today. Alittle nervous."

You only have ONE eye?

Just kidding. Good luck to you, but don't sweat it, I'm sure you're in very capable hands. Focus on the fact that you'll be better once the problem's fixed. My thoughts are with you. Let us know how things go, and make sure you rest afterwards and follow the doctor's orders. Comprende? Good.

Both about which she knows first hand.
