"I somewhat agree with Coulter that Rove should have been more forward with the traditional values positions... it should have been test-marketed someplace to see how it was received."

It was marketed in 1992 by George H. W. Bush when he ran a "family values" campaign. We all know the dismal outcome of that election.

W's moral decency speaks for itself. Karl Rove knows that, and so do 58 million other people, including Ann Coulter. Neither the President nor other conservatives need to go around the country proclaiming they are holier than thou.

Ann and many Freepers may be making a big mistake in assuming Rove controlled what the President said and how he campaigned. Too many people seem to have bought into the "Bush's Brain" propaganda. It seems very condescending to me. Easily lead, unintelligent people do not survive the HBS forced curve no matter who your daddy is. Trust me.

It may be GWB himself who decided to stay arm's length away from some of these issues. It may turn out, that Rove saved the day.

GhBush's campaign could simply be seen as the wrong way to do it.

There just might be a right way to do it, and it should be investigated. If this campaign brought out that many Repub vote, then, by all mean, find a way to keep those folks involved.
