There is a difference between someone claiming something and offering an image to prove it (which is what we've done in this thread) - and being able to go to the site and see it for yourself.

For this to have been a 'trap' of some sort, someone would have had to (a) hack into CNN's web site, (b) rename the file and (c) alter the site's source code to include the renamed file. I assure you that nobody is hacking into CNN's web site.

Our claims were NOT based on our having seen a screenshot (as we have provided above) that could clearly be altered. We saw the original page for ourselves. Many of us are professional geeks and know the difference.

It's easy for someone to photoshop things and bait people.

I suspect it's not *quite* as easy to hack CNN.com and change their homepage.
