Maybe. Maybe not. It's easy for someone to photoshop
things and bait people. In any event, this is petty
bickering and a petty matter. Re: Everyone who allegedly
saw this lying? Maybe. Maybe not.
There is a difference between someone claiming something and offering an image to prove it (which is what we've done in this thread) - and being able to go to the site and see it for yourself.
For this to have been a 'trap' of some sort, someone would have had to (a) hack into CNN's web site, (b) rename the file and (c) alter the site's source code to include the renamed file. I assure you that nobody is hacking into CNN's web site.
Our claims were NOT based on our having seen a screenshot (as we have provided above) that could clearly be altered. We saw the original page for ourselves. Many of us are professional geeks and know the difference.
I suspect it's not *quite* as easy to hack CNN.com and change their homepage.
