It's easy for someone to photoshop things and bait people.

I suspect it's not *quite* as easy to hack CNN.com and change their homepage.

I didn't go to the CNN homepage, because as I understand
they had already taken it down. I am saying that it would
seem easy for someone to print out a copy of something and
alter it. Evidently, some employee at CNN has gotten in
trouble for it, though.

Yes. We don't get "outraged" as easily as the DUer's.
I've seen Kerry called the same on FR many times, but CNN
needed to be called on it. Trouble is, if FR notifies
Drudge of stuff that mysteriously "disappears" by the time
he checks it and all we have is either our word or a
printed out image, when it really is important, we will be
like the boy who cried wolf and he won't think much of our
"tips". - Maybe someone at CNN is in trouble by now at
least.

thanks for the links.. From the Register (last paragraph),

""As soon as the situation was discovered, it was immediately corrected, and the employee has been terminated," said a Netscape spokesman. "CNN had nothing to do with the images, the terms, or the postings. We apologize to CNN and to anyone else offended in this matter.""

This just in from WND...
Andrew Weinstein, a spokesman for Netscape, reiterated the fact CNN itself had nothing to do with the slur. He says the Netscape employee responsible has been fired.

"A junior employee at Netscape identified two election photos with image tags that used inappropriate, disparaging terms," Weinstein told WorldNetDaily. "As soon as the situation was discovered, it was immediately corrected, and the employee has been terminated."

"and the employee has been terminated."

Good! Now when does Dan Rather get fired for unprofessional conduct?
