Someone was looking for a site for the latest electoral county maps and also wanted to know how many electoral votes Reagan won. Searching on Google I ran into what I think is a very good site for such info. The link is

http://www.presidentelect.org

The site contains info from years ago as well as the current year 2004. To find info on Reagan look under 1980 and 1984.

TOPICS: Politics/Elections
KEYWORDS: election; electoralvotes

Good site, but I'm confused--Reagan ran as an independent in 1976?

The site says 1976 he ran when it was Ford vs. Carter so you are right. Then he ran in 1980 and 1984.

Reagan got a faithless elector to vote for him instead of Ford.

Another good site is USAtoday.com for a map showing all the counties in the country, colored blue or red based on the election results. Hannity had it on tonight.

2004 Latest vote, county by county - Colored counties are those where a candidate has won with 100% of precincts counted.

Thanks for the reference to USA Today's election graphics.

I noticed on their demographics chart that the only ethnic group the dems don't have a majority of voters in are whites. Seems they are pandering to the wrong race.

Also found it interesting that when single people get married they suddenly vote republican, so maybe we just need to get all the single people hooked up before 2008.
