I personally witnessed while waiting in line at the polls, many energized people insulted by her remarks - with the willingness to wait up to two hours to vote because of comments like this. Is it any wonder why the elite Left lost this election? They truly believe that women are being supressed by their conservative men...

I wonder if Carole would like this treatment of her song ---

MIDI - IT'S TOO LATE -- scroll down to the 60s and look in the left column

You're a man who's seeking peace you will insist
But several decades you're a scumbag terrorist
Stevie Wonder sees what you will not see…it is all over

It is too late, Yasser…it is much too late…we grow weary of all your talking
And the best place for you is six feet under the ground…you're dead man walking…so
Kiss your butt goodbye

It really is too bad you chose the wrong career
You're a shoe in as the male model of the year
And even Stevie Wonder sees what you will not see…it's over

It is too late, Yasser…it is much too late…we grow weary of all your talking
And the best place for you is six feet under the ground…you're dead man walking
Bye-bye, Yasser

(musical break - advance to 2:44 if you wish)

Turn out the lights, it is the end of your show
Will you please drag Clinton with you, Yasser, 'cause he must go
Even Stevie Wonder can see the things you won't see…it's over

It is too late, Yasser…it is much too late…we grow weary of all your talking
And the best place for you is six feet under the ground…you're dead man walking
Bye-bye, Yasser

Say good-bye, Yasser…just say good-bye, you scumbag…just say good-bye

Another has-been former pop star for Kerry. Yawn.

"Tapestry" is a classic. Doesn't make the 40-years-hence political bloviations of its writer remotely relevant.

Carole King should put out an album with Yoko Ono - that would be cool.

She just doesn't get it. In my 35 year marriage, I am the one who tells my husband who and what to vote for. Not because he is stupid; but, because he is too busy working to study the issues. He knows I am a political junky and he values MY opinion. Neither of us need to keep our vote secret from each other. We love and trust each other in all things.

This year, Republicans, Democrats, Independents, conservatives and others are coming together, not just to vote but to volunteer for John Kerry and local Democrats.

You have to wonder: did she really think this was happening?

What we saw yesterday was an affirmation of the Democrat Party as the party of homosexuals and bitter unmarried women.

The reeeeaaaaaal issue is why there are those under the age of Zell Miller who are essentially republican in all but name (reverse Rinos if you will) who refuse to see the truth of the Democrat party. Why the denial? The DNC has spoken by their actions.

Damn site wouldn't take my letter to the editor, so here goes:

Carol King needs to read Laura Ingram's book, "Shut up and Sing".

Maybe she approves of women in Afghanistan taking a bullet to the head because they forgot their burka in the morning.

Please spare us the befuddled thoughts of rich liberal idiots, the unsung majority in America know right from wrong.

Women: you don't have to vote the way your father or husband does. It's a secret ballot."

If I was captured by the enemy, and they wanted to torture information out of me, all they would have to do is put on some Carole King LPs. I'd sing like a canary.

Brrrr! Just thinking about her makes me want to listen to some Motorhead!

What was the President's vote tally in Idaho?

Doesn't look like Carole's campaigning did much good, now does it?

One of my favorite singers in the early 70's.

Carole......if you're out there........SHUT UP AND SING!!!

These arrogant , ignorant, elitists move into rural communites and change the entire culture with their spew, as if no one that's been there FOREVER could possibly have the brains to run their own lives. They make me ill. Go back where you came from, Carol and take JfK with you. Idahoans voted overwhelmingly for Bush. Deal with it.

Women: you don't have to vote the way your father or husband does.

In 2000, I sat down with my husband and son to discuss the propositions on the ballot and teach my son about voting. I carefully explained to my son that we have these discussions to better understand the issues, but that doesn't mean my husband and I will vote the same way. Of course, hubby went and voted the exact same way I did. So I'll paraphrase: Men: you don't have to vote the way your mother or wife does.

(Why is it liberal wymmin always assume the husband is the boss?)

This president has placed us so deeply in debt to foreign powers like China, Japan, South Korea and Saudi Arabia that financial experts are beginning to speak of America as the next Argentina.

Wow! I hadn't even heard this out of the likes of Begala, Carville, Lockhart, or Ickes. What exactly does that mean? That our Olympic basketball team will get better? I'm all for that!

Carole's going to have trouble getting over this. "It's gonna take some time this time..."

Sen. Kerry will not raise your taxes. But my taxes will go up to where they were before George W. Bush took office.

... and whenever one ends up paying more in taxes this year than they did last year: we call that a WHAT, Carole...?

As they should.

So voluntarily cough up more into the federal kitty yourself then, muffin.

It's perfectly legal. No one's stopping you, you know.

Waiting.

Waiting.

Waiting... :)

How will Sen. Kerry pay for health care and education and reduce the deficit? If you're making under $200,000 a year, Sen. Kerry will not raise your taxes. But my taxes will go up to where they were before George W. Bush took office. As they should.

1. Is King actually so stupid as to believe that raising taxes only on people making over $200,000/year would pay for Kerry's socialized health-care program, buy even more teachers' votes for Democrats, AND reduce the deficit? (Answer: No. Nobody is THAT stupid.)

2. If King thinks her taxes should be higher, then why doesn't the hypocrite simply write a big check and send it to the US Treasury? (Answer: Because like liberal Democrats everywhere, she prefers to selfishly walk into the polling place and vote for more big-government confiscation - - of OTHER PEOPLE'S money.)
