Does this put the Dims under 200??
Cha' ching!
Good question, I'm not sure. It'll be close to the 199-203 range, though.
CNN has it 231-200-1, with 3 undecided. One of those (NY-27) will be a gain for the Rats most likely, with 99% reporting, and the other two are in Louisiana. We have a good shot at taking the Louisiana ones with Boustany (R) facing Mount and Billy Tauzin III (R) facing Charlie Melancon.
I believe there are 435 House members or thereabouts.
That means a coalition of 290 members is a 2/3 majority.
With the Southern Conservative Democrats and the new makeup, getting some good legislation will only be a problem because of RINO's in the Senate -- Arlen Specter and company.
We need to start aiming our efforts (letters, emails, faxes, that is) at the Senate RINOS to get this country back on track.
What Southern Conservative Democrats ?
Exactly right!!!!!! CHARGE!!!
Offically it's still 231/200/1 but I believe there are a few still counting and a few will recount.
I believe that the correct term for Southern Conservative Democrat is: Republican.
HORRAY! Another 'Rat who talks conservative and votes liberal is gone!
HAHA!
More good news for Hoosiers. Isn't that Lee Hamilton's old district?
Adjusted a bit because of the loss of IN's 10th House seat in '02, but yes, that is his old bailiwick.
That's even better yet.
Lee personally selected Baron as his replacement....It took a while for the sheeple to realize that Hill is no Hamilton...
I have a rather funny story about one of Hill X neighbors, he wasn't well like in the hood, but got elected because of the River folks.....They redistrict the area a few years back...Sodrel worked VERY hard along the Ohio (He's from there...a very successful businessman who spent his own money) and HE WON!
Isn't this the old Lee Hamilton seat too?
Melancon in LA is a former aide to the popular former Sen. J. Bennett Johnston, Jr. But I still think young Tauzin may be able to defeat this Johnston understudy on Dec. 4.
