The Arab leaders had hoped they could return to the status quo of oppressing the people and blaming America.

The best way to engage Arab hearts and minds is to march them all to the polling booth to select their leaders ~ men and women alike!
That and the adoption of the Uniform Commercial Code and the firming up of land and real property title guarantees would bring these folks into the 21st Century in fine shape.

If they'd take out their own trash, we wouldn't have to. They're beyond stupid.

Consistently second only to Ariel Sharon in terms of unpopularity among Arabs
Apparently includes John Zogby.

Especially after 9/11, I could care less what the Arab gutter thinks.

Dear Arabs Terrorist,
The Angel of Death is coming for you. Your names are on the scroll. Prepare to meet Satan.
Regards,
President G.W. Bush.

First you need to implement the Coulter Doctrine: kill their leaders and convert the survivors to Christianity. THEN march 'em to the polls.

Like I care what the Arabs think?
To: Little Ray
Actually, folks in those parts used to pretty much adhere to Christianity. They still had war and kept a really nasty dictatorship called Byzantium in power.
First the elections, then we go to church, preferably mine.

"A continued failure to engage Arab hearts and minds "
The question remains: Do Arabs have hearts and minds?

Yahya Sadowski, professor of politics at the American University of Beirut, said the US needs to invest seriously in programs that improve the lives of average citizens in the Arab world, such as literacy and child healthcare. "For a fraction of what the US is spending to demolish Iraq it could win a great deal of goodwill," he said.
First of all, many middle-east nations are oil rich - can't they handle their own literacy and healthcare problems?
Secondly, the US is not demolishing Iraq - the terrorists and Baathists are.
Man I wish these people could get a handle on reality!

To be disillusioned, first you have to be illusioned, you jihadis.

Now, let me get this straight. Those living without flush toilets, hot and cold POTABLE water, air conditioning, universal literacy, clean non-yellow teeth (full set), clean sheets (both on heads and beds)etc, etc, etc, and we should be concerned about them?? NOT!
