In spite of being embarrassed by California, there IS one advantage to living here. By midnight it was becoming obvious that W had won, and I went to bed then. Slept like a baby, woke up dancing.

Try being on the other side of the world. It's a real plus to wake up just as the exit polls story is being debunked, so that you don't have to sit through the ridiculous "Kerry rocks" promos the MSM runs all day.
I'm not saying I wouldn't live in San Diego given the chance, but living expat has its advantages.
