U.S. Liberals Debate Flight Versus Fight
Canada attracts those troubled by Republican policies, but numbers show this is no Vietnam.

Joanna Harmon is considering whether to leave the United States for Canada. Nik and Nancy Phelps practically have visas in hand to set up business in Belgium. Joan Magit and her husband are eyeing Vancouver. Amy Gertz moved to the United States from Canada two and a half years ago - she's now moving back.
These are scary times for progressive Americans. Many feel isolated and embarrassed by the actions of the U.S. government. Some are downright terrified at what will happen if Bush is re-elected in November. When politics get too bleak, it's comforting to remind ourselves that we can always move to another country. But how many of us are serious about it?
There's a thread farther down about how disgruntled libs trying to move to up North will have to wait out immigration regs like everyone else.
Thanks for the refresher since I didn't see it the first time.
If you go to DU, tell them that Osama Bin Laden promised he wouldn't attack any state that voted against Bush. They don't have to move to Canada. California or Michigan will do. Heck. Move to Hawaii.
Great! Don't let the door hit you on the way out. Go and suck off the Canadian or European tit instead of ours. The American "hosts" in the red areas have far too many parasites to support in the blue areas as it is. Please - leave. Those of us who actually pull the wagon won't have as many blue area freeloaders to pull around.
It is a happy day indeed. We own 53 seats in the Senate, a majority in the House, a majority of the governerships. Daschale is gone, and Bush will get at least 2 Supreme Court nominees. Luca Brasi sleeps with the fishes.
This is the rise of the modern conservative movement.
Karl Rove is a frigging genius.
They better select flight, if they know what's good for them.
I have about 200,000 unused air miles if that would help.
Unfortunately, they are all talk and no action. Heck, I'd lend them the money for a bus ticket if it would help get them off their butts and moving toward the border.
It would not be so outlandish for a big movement of libs to Canada. After the Revolutionary War, a huge number of loyalists moved to Canada. They were around 1/3 of the population during the war, and a big chunk of them left. The rest became the ancestors of John Kerry and other anti-Americans.
They always have Mexico.
If they are serious, they'll go there and forge a new life.
Something tells me they aren't serious about anything other than oppressing and censoring those they disagree with.
I think they should all move to Europe where they will
be appreciated.
Please, please, please don't waste any time debating.
