By David Ljunggren OTTAWA (Reuters) - Disgruntled Democrats seeking a safe Canadian haven after President Bush won Tuesday's election should not pack their bags just yet.
Canadian officials made clear on Wednesday that any U.S. citizens so fed up with Bush that they want to make a fresh start up north would have to stand in line like any other would-be immigrants -- a wait that can take up to a year.

F. that.
Canada HAS accepted and defended those who are AWOL from the US military.

Can't they just slip over the border illegally?
No waiting in Mexico.
--go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen!

Can't they take all the freeloaders, welfare queens, crack hos, pimp daddies, etc with them?????? PLEEEEEEZE
Leave. Buh-bye.
One thing the libs love is standing in line. (For other people that is.)
They're going to love Sharia.
This seems like a violation of GATT and NAFTA.
I love how everyone's saying they want to leave the country as though we'll ask them NOT to. So many people I know have been pulling this Canada stuff. My question -- if it's so bad, why not go to Canada first and complain later?
