Huh. Well, I watched SeeBS just because it was SeeBS and I wanted to see what it had become. One thing sure, I'm rarely going to be tuned that that channel anymore! (Not that the teeeveee is on oftn, anyway...)

Currently there is a huge (HUGH!) controversy between CBS News and the Kerry campaign. Kerry says Bush won the election, but CBS has refused to concede!!!!

I switched between channels, staying mostly on Fox, but when I paused at seeBS, I had the distinct impression that ole Danny Blather knew that no one was watching.

I took a peek at Dan at about 2AM est and he looked shell-shocked. He was standing there promising that CBS was embarrassed in the past by jumping the gun so they were going to be place to go for the most reliable information for this election.

I almost laughed out loud but my lips are chapped.

It was fabulous entertainment! Three old codgers mumbling and harumphing! Ed Bradley looked like Skeletor. And the Ratherisms were comming fast and furious! Anybody gotta list?

I am cable impaired, had to rely on the broadcast networks, ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX (when it was on) and PBS....

I flipped through all of them... Wound up on Fox or NBC more than the others, CBS coverage was horrible. Leslie Stalls and Dan Blather were a horrible pair. Once NBC Called Ohio and Kerry refused to accept it... even NBC got annoying.

They just kept repeating Kerry's right to wait... and would maybe half heartedly defend their call, and then refused to call anything else, even though it was blindingly obvious that Bush had won NM, NV and IOWA... but they just won't not call the election simply because Kerry team "went to bed"..... so they just sat there and droned on about nothing.... defending their refusal to call any more states... etc etc etc... it was insulting to my intelligence... of course not as insulting as ABC and CBS who just collectively refused to call Ohio even though it was obvious beyond all recognition that Bush had won it.

All it all, ABC, FOX and NBC were tollerable, with moments of digust... CBS was disgusting with moments of tollerability.

It was fun to click over to CBS to see Dan Rather try to remain calm. He must have breakfasted on Mylanta.

I have to admit, CBS definately had the best use of technology. That touch screen system was awesome. Too bad the analysis sucked. FOX News had about the worst use of technology, but the best analysis. Other networks could learn from this.
