I.too, note that when people crowd together in big cities they tend to become socialists ans self-centered.
Perhaps mankind NEEDS connection with nature,soil, and being able to actually SEE the results of one's labor.
I agree. Those who work the land (producers) have a different view then those who are isolated from the the land (consumers). Some of my urban relatives are envious of my life, but support policies that are destroying my livelihood. There are so disconnected from the natural world that supports them that they are almost resentfull of those of us who produce the raw materials that make their urban lifestyle possible.
IMHO, when the urban socialist are in power, they tend to strangle the golden goose that feeds them with regulations.
