Kerry's core constituents congregate - like the rats they are. And a little act of nature could easily solve that blue problem on the left.

When are they going to announce Iowa or New Mexico for Bush?

It will be like dropping an anvil on the head of an already vanquished enemy. (DU'ers)

I absolutely totally 100% AGREE!!!!

The Electoral College is not perfect, but IMHO a popular vote system would be worse for America.

"The county in Texas is Travis, the home of Austin.

Bush won it in 2000."

I live there .... we screwed up!!! :-(

If the rest of the country did as poorly as we did at this county level, we'd be talking "President Kerry".

what's the county there in central Texas that went blue?

It's Austin, Williamson County. It's the shame of Texas. Home of UT and Hippy Hollow. Nowhere else in the world, except perhaps CA, will you find so many who think it's still 1962.

Duh, silly me. It's Travis Co., not Williamson.

I think you're pointing toward San Antonio (Bexar County)--where I'm from though it's not exactly what we call central Texas--sort of the beginning of S. Texas

Isnt that sad ... our county is practically the only 'blue' county between the rio grande and Saint Louis, MO!

we've got some work to do.

At the risk of sounding very tacky, the only counties Gore Kerry won are those with overwhelming Black, Hispanic, American Indian or Jewish populations!

Ashamed to be in a blue county, Mecklenburg (Charlotte), NC. I prefer the bigger, redder picture of NC

Nope. I didn't believe the map was right so I checked the results. Deep south Texas is RED!

AlQuada will have to be very careful planning those spectacular attacks against ALL OF THE RED AREAs, while sparing the blue areas.
