Normally I just lurk on Free Republic, but I wanted to register to reply to this particular post...

I'm 22 years old and this election was my first opportunity to vote for a president. I'm proud to say that I cast my vote in Florida and helped President Bush win such an integral state by an overwhelming margin! Not only that, but I convinced three of my friends to register and vote for Bush as well (and they DID follow through on it!). I also hit the campaign trail by attending rallies, standing on busy streets waving Bush signs, and freeping the libs when they came to town (Jacksonville FL). I've got to say that it was an amazing experience; I love voting and I love this country!! Don't give up on the youth of America yet, we're not all wasted vacuous idiots!
