The demonrats are asking for more time to find ballots under the rocks there.

British Columbia is a necessary evil for physical continuity.

Anyway, its not really any worse a place than Oregon. The Reform Party has the most seats there.

I am desperately in need of a larger (clear)image of this U.S. map suitable for framing. 11x17 inches is the ideal, but 8x10 would work...

Any ideas for the source?

No, Bush will take the county with close to 70% I imagine. We had troubles with the counting software. Also turnout was massive. The main factor given for selecting a President here, moral leadership!

Look at Illinois

I'm sure you've heard the "No Republican has ever won the presidency without Ohio" mantra.

Prior to 2000, No Republican had ever won without Illinois, Michigan, Vermont, and Maine. And a Republican had won without Pennsylvania only once - 1968, and without New Jersey only once in the past 125 years - 1884.

We need to stop writing off these chunks of our base in national elections.

Vermont just got a Republican Governor. Maine and Pennsylvania both have two Republican Senators. Etc., etc.

We need to stop writing off these chunks of our base in national elections.

That's why I think Mitt Romney would be a good choice for the Republican nominee in 2008.

That version of the map is STILL wrong. The little county in California on the coast, between Los Angeles County and Santa Barbara County is RED!!!

That's Ventura County, and were are in the Bush column again this year!

We really need to split California into two states, Northern California and Southern California.

No. Los Angeles County provided Kerry about a 750,000 vote margin in his roughly 1,000,000 vote margin in the State of California.

Got to do something about that.

"I hate the fact that the Dems autonmatically pick up NY's 31 and California's 55 electoral votes."

Maybe proportional distribution of electoral votes isn't such a bad idea afterall.

Actually I've always thought it should be split into Eastern California and Western California

Maybe, I kind of hate to mess with something the founders set up that has worked well through the years. I just wish there was a way we could bring some sense to these too densely populated areas.
