I found it laughable that CNN kept delaying calling OH for BushCheney. It wasn't caution that CNN was exercising at all, but Democrat stubbornness.

This was the biggest upset of the night: Thune over Daschle. I suspect that Daschle is so "deeply disappointed" now that he wishes that he had not interferred and instead let Thune have unseated Tim Johnson in 2002. But Tom got greedy and it cost him! Of course, as a future lobbyist, he will easily regain the financial aspect of his lost job.
