On the contrary if you look back at Presidential elections for the past 140 years you will find the south going for the GOP is very recent when compared to the Great Plains and Rocky Mountain states. Glad you have finally seen the error of your ways. Better late than never.

Where were ya in '64, non-seq? Barry won six states that year - all in the old confederacy.

The GOP only took six states in the 'old confederacy' in '56, three in '60, five in '68, four in '52, none in '48...or '44...or '40...or '36. Y'all have come late to the Party of Lincoln, and then you waltz in and act like you own the place.
