Do they ever align their positions with LP's small government doctrines? Yeah, when pigs fly.

The LP has made in plain, not just in Washington state, but in their own press releases this election, that they cannot be ignored. So it's time to no longer ignore them. It's time to send them a message they can understand, using their own tactics.

I would support your efforts against the Washington LP, however, your organization is not going to put up a fight against an incumbent Republican such as Paul. FWIW, an organization that I belong to, Veterans for Constitutional Restoration, is a strong supporter of Paul's.

Clout. Now both major parties are going to go out of their way to court the smaller-government voters, so this sort of thing is less likely to happen next time.

Like they did with Nader voters after Florida 2000? Yeah, right.

Has anyone considered the possibility that sometimes RINOs simply need a poke in the eye with a sharp stick - just to get their attention?

Libertarian candidacies such as this one are just such a stick, imho.

I just took a look at the MOAA web page. They seem like a great organization. Wish it was open to us former enlisted grunts.

Ruck is what you'll need. Like they say here, he's well loved to the point that his less-war eccentricities are tolerated.

The LP's were campaigning to knock off republicans. Anytime they can advertize their vote tally greater than the republican loss margin, they declare victory. Since they declared the republicans as the enemy, then the democrats must be their friends. Why else would the go to San Francisco to recruit?

You fail to consider something very important. Your so-called Republican Paul has been stabbing us our troops in the back. That doesn't sit well with people who belong to the Military Officer's Association who have a membership your organization can only dream of.

And it's not just the Washington LP, the national LP openly admitted they were campaigning to throw the election to Kerry. They admitted it twice in their own press releases. So it's time to send them a message.

Since the only person they have ever succeeded in getting elected to a real position of power is Paul, and given Paul's stance on the war and supporting our troops, yes, he would make the perfect target to send a message the LP should understand. We won't tolerate your tactics any longer.

I don't think it will be a difficult idea to get started considering the treachery in this election.

The Libertarian Party is like al Qaeda, they'll fabricate any justification for destroying themselves and taking everybody else out with them.

This is as objectionable of a statement as I have read in some time.

No, luck is what the losers at the LP have run out of.

LOL! An excellent evening all together. It is apparent that the GOP has learned how to get out the vote, something they haven't done well in years.

They learned something else last night. The losses they may have from a very minority group of fringers is more then made up for by gains in other segments of the voting population.

Like I said, I'm all in favor of doing whatever damage to the LP possible. They have perverted the term 'libertarian' more than most people realize.

However, if you do make the futile attempt to do something about Paul, I strongly suggest you not use FR to do so. Undermining a Republican who epitomizes the mission statement of this site will likely get you suspended if not booted permanantly.

No sir. I mean objectionable. Honestly, must we call other freepers murdering terrorists? Good Heavens!

The Libertarian Party is like al Qaeda, they'll make up any excuse to blow us all up.

Everyone take and and enjoy this day of victory. It even looks like we still have a fair chance at the governorship despite the best efforts of the left...everyone on the left. We will take care of that problem.

As for me, time for a little celebration time. I'm taking my son to the car show down town. We'll even stop by 7/11 and see if they still have any of those "Bush" coffee cups left.

Isn't that kool aid wonderful? It comes in ham, bacon, chops, and lard flavors.
