Velveeta is the resident lighthouse expert. My brain isn't working not enought coffee. It was way back there somewhere.

Why talk of lighthouses? See posts 331 and 684.

I went over the script, all of it. I was struck by a reference to - when we see the red flag of al Queda in the eastern most point of the US...Code words for where?

Eastern most point in the continential 48 states is Maine. That got me thinking about the stories a couple of months ago of ME strangers poking around old light houses and all the water references in AQs messages. That's what started it.

The lighthouse thing came to play shortly after all the 'diver' incidents.

My brain has narrowed it down to starting in early May of this year. (Don't know which thread that would be)

The first incident was a woman in RI calling 911 to report 2 men in a skiff breaking down the door to the Pomham Lighthouse. Those men got away, but they were spotted either loading or unloading something from/to the boat.

The second incident shortly thereafter was a story of boaters, '4 men with a language barrier' who had to be rescued at night. The men reported their location as being near the Pomham Lighthouse, but it turned out they were MUCH farther south.

The third incident somewhere in the same general area was a boat that was beached and left abandoned. The story was odd, in that it seemed there was quite a search going on for the owner of the boat.

I believe there were other incidents right around the RI area, but I'm over 40 and the memory cells fade in and out...

Oh, LNG tankers galore in this area...
