I should introduce you to my son. He started college this year wanting to be a journalist. He too is a conservative and worked very actively in the Senate campaign of George Nethercutt here in Washington State. He could use some professional advice on how to counter his liberal profs and co-students without alienating them completely (he still has 3 1/2 years to go).

I'm inclined to agree, but there remain some disturbing elements that rely on knowledge of potential targets. I don't know if we can discount them completely, but I doubt that any real plans would be discussed so cavalierly, even in code, if they knew someone had a chance of seeing it.
On the other hand, they may have access to info and be stupid enough to be bragging about it as a tease to anyone who might run across them.

Best advice I ever got is this:
Never, ever argue with your professors. You're there to get a grade and a diploma. If you hear something you disagree with, argue it with yourself in privacy. If you can counter it effectively, congratulations. If you can't, figure out why and learn from it. These guys are professionals at propaganda and indoctrination, and it's folly to think you are going to bring them down. If you win, you lose. Better to learn their ways and apply them in the future, when you have more control over your circumstances.
Think of how the terrorists are fighting in Iraq now. They knew that if they put up organized military style resistance, they'd be mowed down. Instead, they kept low and kept quiet until there were enough American forces and cooperative citizens. Then they started harassing from within, at close range, when it became harder to swat them.
It's war!
Off topic: France would be good for the Dems. They could make Michael Moore the President and Ted Kennedy their Patron Saint. God help them to one day soon understand morals, decency and faith in God as is consistent with the Will of our forefathers in forming our government.

One had an extreme close-up pic of what appeared to be a goat's horn with a man's hand next to it. There was what looked to be very large bright green confetti on the hand.
He's a pretty smart kid and has already said he avoids getting into any political disagreements with his prof's. Though he can 'excercise' both sides of a position, since he is majoring in Poly Sci.
A lot of the kids he goes to school with frustrate the hell out of him. They just blindly believe whatever crap they are fed and do not bother to research issues or facts on their own. Which is very sad, considering universities are where we are suppoesed to go in order to become more effective critical thinkers.
Reports were that a key CIA informant's story became unreliable regarding an attack prior to the election. Apparently their classified sources and analysis suggests no further threat to those facilities. Probably the alertness spooked the threat and caused them to back down, my take.

Will describe if you like, but the writing on it was all arabic. Also picked up a URL, and will check it out in a sec. It was part of a graphic that was on a now-gone post.
A quick glance at the news of the day tells you that the universities are now the breeding grounds of liberalism. As a conservative, I saw it as my "40 days in the wilderness" to prepare me for what I would encounter in the world.
He should cultivate the ability to listen to a mountain of blather and not say a word unless he truly believes that he has information that will change minds. That said, most of the minds there are not inclined to change. He should not agree with them, but some hills just aren't worth dying on. He can accomplish more by learning about the lies that are out there so he can arm himself with the truth to defeat them.
