I saw one ad ... that hurt us here in Austin, TX, his homeown ... a Libertarian cost us a TX Representative seat, who lost in a razor thin race (only a few hundred votes) and the Libertarian took 2% of the vote ... and to think, I voted for a Libertarian in a race or two...

You do plenty, and much like the LP and CP, has no effect on the average person.
CP and LP confuse the purpose of an ideology with the purpose of a political party. They are related, but different ... political parties are useless if they dont unite people to garner enough for political power. pulling 1% is not political power, that's being a flea-bite on the major parties ... to get that power requires UNITY and coalition-building, but 3rd parties by their defnition are DISUNITY oriented and coalition-breaking.
CP folks are a key part of activist base in the GOP;
the freedom/free-enterprise elements are as well.
LP just breaks off that coalition.
since they confuse their purposes, they only manage to create anti-productive results.
The RP does a lot of things that many CP and LP people do not consider conservative and classic liberal. If you can keep the break less than 1% to them, you've done a fine job. You cannot and will not ever make them all vote Republican. Most likely, many simply would not vote at all if there was no 3rd party option. If nothing else, the CP and LP put at least limited checks on the RP from becoming even more liberal too quickly than they already are.

Perhaps you have reading comprehension problems. I clearly stated in post #2 that I voted for Bush and Burr and subsequently stated that I only would have voted 3rd party had there been zero question of Bush' victory in NC and since a couple polls showed a narrow 3-5% Bush victory, I did not vote 3rd party. Like I said, continue to bark all you want.

You've yet to show where I fail to suffer reading comprehension problems. I know there are kooks and weirdos in the minor parties but that doesn't mean I won't vote for them if the Republican is comfortably ahead -- or that I believe that they are conservative or classic classic liberals. I believe their press releases about as much as I believe all the Republicans press releases which is to say I take them all with a grain of salt. I believe 0% of Democratic press release. This is my last post to you, I have no reason to continue talking to you as you seem to want to spend more time fighting 2 or 3 the 200,000 people in the country that are not huge fans of the two major parties. The Libertarian Party isn't anything, the party was formed over 30 years ago, and they still refuse to do what is necessary to win elections, they continue to prove that they have no intrest in winning elections.

If you spent half as much time trying to convince people who don't normally vote to vote Republican and explain why they should, you'd get far more people to vote for Republicans than you'll convince 3rd party people to vote for Republicans. Like I said earlier on this thread even though for some reason you want to continue to be beligerant about it, I will continue to vote Republican when the vote is close and 3rd party when it is not.
