My favorite reaction I've overheard so far was one Dem to another, moaning about the devasting concession - "well it is just temporary". Thinks it will all magically come back together again, just like the election night fantasy script said, after dodging a little to buy time to count chads.

Sorry to rain on anyones optimistic parade, but Americans are not going to unite. Bush is wayyyy to far to the right to universal support. Contrary to what the religious right want everyone to believe, "morals" aren't only for them. Morally, I have to go with what I believe is right, and supporting this president to destroy thousands of lives at home and abroad is clearly wrong. I can not morally stand behind him.
