US Senate seat went to Johnny Isakson (RINO), gives us both Senate seats. Gov went to Perdue (R) in last election.
"Completing an electoral revolution that began two years ago, Georgia Republicans on Tuesday won the majority in the state House for the first time since Reconstruction. The win gave the party control of both chambers of the Legislature.
Picking up newly created districts in north and south Georgia and bumping off a handful of incumbent Democrats, the GOP increased its hold on the Senate majority while taking enough seats in the House to complete its statehouse takeover.
Republicans had been declared winners in at least 91 House races enough for a majority in the 180-member House. They had been declared winners in 31 of 56 Senate elections."
GA11 went to Gingrey (R) even though it was democrat-gerry-mandered against him and Bob Barr.
Now, they have to cut taxes and eliminate corruption in Atlanta to keep these seats.
Hastert has ordered a rubber room constructed off the House floor for Crazy Cynthia..
What does Jimmy "Cricket" Carter have to say about that. I guess that Zell was a lot closer to the Right then the sour puss Carter thought.
What are our net gains/losses in Senate if Coors wins/loses? Thanks.
Max Burns lost though...who saw that coming?
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I guess this year will be VERY INTERESTING to us in GA!
TLR
Carter is crying about the Marriage Amendment passing:
Constitutional Amendments, Marriage defined as union of a man and a woman
94% of precincts reporting Votes Percentage
Yes (Non-Partisan) 2,231,885 76.8%
No (Non-Partisan) 674,411 23.2%
Current results indicate that Republicans are sweeping all the close senate races. Now we go into defense for Colorodo and Alaska. If we hold those its +5.
Where's Max Cleland? Haven't heard a word from him since that silly stunt down at Bush's ranch.
Leaving Dasshole and Coors out, we gain 3 across the South (GA, SC, NC) and they gain IL.
PA is still marked RINO to Spector, OH shows a repub Senate win - Though they don't want to call OH Bush Pres. win for some reason.
SD could still go Repub, so could CO.
