You did a wonderful job. The politicians and anti-war commies lost the war for us. After Saigon fell, some of my father's families came in. They asked why did we stop bombing Hanoi? It was working. The North Vietnamese Government was ready to surrender....
Kerry-Fonda!!!
Please keep the stories and documentation on the traitor Kerry from fading from memory.
Tonk, if your'e out there, you are loved by everyone here.
To all my fellow Freepers....Thank You!
Our fighting men should know that they did not fight in vain in Vietnam. Many, many Vietnamese lives were saved. Many more would have been spared if Kerry had not betrayed his country.
You guys have demonstrated that even with ALL that....NOTHING gets you down and OUT of it.....a national Blessing...and more evidence of the noble, true American Grit of our fighters.
Go VETS !!!!!!
You go to bat.
And whatever you believe and stand for...I am so proud of you. Really proud.
And I do agree with every outstanding word you said!
Just as our great soldiers cannot be paid what they are worth, I swear there are no words good enough to express the debt of gratitude we owe to them!
All prayers and heartfelt gratitude to you, guys!
Revenge is a dish best served cold, and payback is Hell. Vets never quit, and the liberal media is next. Thanks to the POW's and the Swift Boat Veterans.
Just did what I was paid and trained to do.
Agreed. These guys (and gals) were a big motivator while volunteering to do GOTV for G.W.. It was in the back of my mind the whole time. I could not bear having that backstabber S-Kerry in the White House. He should still be brought up on charges for treason for what he did & lied about in 1971.
As soon as I saw the Swifties - I grabbed my checkbook - more than once. John O'Neil and the Swifty guys are the salt of the earth like all the Vietnam Vet heroes.
Many thanks to all Vietnam Vets. I am hoping in some way that Kerry's defeat is some justice for the unforgiveable things he did to harm Vietnam Vets and POWs. Not enough people stood up for you guys and sadly we only had the liberal media who helped criminal Kerry with his smears.
Come on OH and NM! Come to poppa!
You are more than welcome, and my humblest thanks for this tribute to our veterans.
I came to this country in 1969, a penniless immigrant, and managed to stay on by enlisting in the US Army.
It was a great honor to serve this country in Vietnam, and a greater one to take the oath of citizenship after my return.
Not a day goes by that I do not think of the comrades we left behind; frozen in our memories, forever young; or the millions we abandoned to communist slavery.
It has been my fondest wish over the last 30 years that I would live to see justice done and, now, I am seeing that wish become reality before my very eyes.
"Perhaps it was inadvertent but I don't belong in the "to" line of your post. I did not serve in the military, much less go to Vietnam. Much better men than I did that."
It's for US you spoke, and I vote for what you said.
They know, when they read these things. We must remind them that we really are paying attention, and are truly with them, whoever they are, and whatever they honestly believe is best for ALL of us. We are just proud and grateful and appreciative of them, what they did, in the finest tradition of our country, and that of all right-thinking individuals the world over. Mr. K's performance is and was truly
disgraceful...though they were difficult times for us all...but that he has continued in his error I find cringingly incorrect, and very difficult to tolerate for long.
Amen. These heros have had to hold in alot of pain the last 25 years. If things continue tonight as they are now, I hope the victory will ease some of that pain.
I was fortunate to serve with many VietNam veterans and my respect for them is great. I come from a very conservative family and growing up in the turbulent late 60's and early 70's it was not easy to watch many of this country turn their backs on our fighting forces. One thing that will always stick in my mind is as my father said blessing at the table each evening, he always finished up the prayer with "And Bless the boys in VietNam, Amen".
As a freshman in High School, seniors were still graduating and called upon to serve in SE Asia and my chances were good that I would also. The conflict came to an end while I was in High School and I enlisted in the Air Force shortly after. My flight leaders and squadron commanders were all VietNam vets and they taught this young airman much about honor and patriotism for the American way of life. I will forever be thankful for the Vietnam Veterans sacrifices, courage and nobility and I salute each and every one of you.
Thank-you and God Bless.
"It has been my fondest wish over the last 30 years that I would live to see justice done and, now, I am seeing that wish become reality before my very eyes."
I'm seeing it, too, and I'm feeling like there's a sense of redemption. Do you feel that, too?
Thank you so much on behalf of all of us.
It was a long time in coming but with the effort of the Swifties, they finally made it clear that the Viet Vets Honor is Clean!
In honor of the 58,000 + Brothers and Sisters on the Viet Nam Wall
SALUTE
I also would like to say thanks. It was an Honor to serve and I would go again in an instant.
V V Camp Enari 67-68
From a patriot from the 9/11 genertation who loves this nation and all who serve her--THANKS TO ALL VIET NAM VETS!!!
