I just got back as a poll watcher in McLean, VA. The polls closed at 7PM EST. Turnout was very heavy, over 1600 voters of the 2700 registered voted today, and that doesn't include abseentee ballots. Northern Virginia is very democratic, so it remains to be seen what the rest of the state does. I find it hard to believe Virginia would go to Kerry. Let's wait for the returns to come in now that the polls are closed.
Well, we need at least a 55 vote lead by the time we get to the west coast.
Jumping the gun? CN8 (a Comcast cable network) is talking about who will be in the Kerry cabinet...and word has it Mass. Rep. Stephen Lynch plans to declare a run for Kerry's
Senate seat on Sat. morning. Don't be so sure, Congressman.
10-1, that's a nice ratio. Really, that would still be *too* close, in my opinion. Even the dems don't like Kerry, the only thing he has ever had going for him is that he's not Bush. Billions of others are equally qualified in that respect.
