No doubt tone deaf, but still music to my ears. This one is in the bag.
For the MI watchers.
Here's a link to the Prez race by county. Wayne County, home of Detroit, and socialist/communist Washtenaw County are the ones that usually go Dem.

Tidbits from various local news coverage:
When the polls closed at 8 pm, Detroit expected to have people in line voting for 5 more hours. The polls were closed at 8 (supposedly). There were that many people in lines. Jenny came to Detroit to get people not to leave.
The NAACP filed a suit that GOP poll watchers were intimidating Detroit voters. Then the NAACP dropped their suit. The guy speaking for the NAACP thinks it's a crime to be White-In-Detroit (so do many Detroiters). He made a point of saying the GOP watchers were mostly white males intimidating Detroit's black Dem voters. There's just something intimidating about being white. IMO, the GOP has grounds to file suit against the Detroit dept of elections & the NAACP for hate crimes- political discrimination against white people by black people in Detroit.
The police were called to where absentee ballots are being counted (I didn't catch where that is), because a fight broke out among Dem & GOP watchers. Really. Some Dem took offense at a GOP watcher (nice looking blonde guy) challenging improperly filled out absentee ballots & the watchers (I don't know how many or whose watchers) got to fighting. All watchers were asked to leave. Bet on vote fraud with absentee ballots in Detroit.
We Michiganders do have a ray of hope watching the vote totals tonight/this morning. In 2000, I think most of Detroit had paper ballots & Wayne County had a week to post its totals. MI went Bush big time until Wayne County posted its Totals. This time, I don't think there are any paper ballots in detroit -- all machines. A lot of optical scan I think. It shouldn't take Wayne county a week to count anymore because it won't take Detroit a week to count anymore.
A lot of Wayne County's already been counted & Kerry has only a couple of points lead.
If Michigan goes Bush, it will be a miracle.
I believe in miracles.
