ABC radio is now interviewing an election lawyer - talking about "how to count votes". unreal, but you can see where this is going.

Someone needs to explain to these math-challenged slackjaws that exit-poll models are only as good as their underlying assumptions... assumptions which include such arbitrary rules like 60% of first time voters will go for Kerry, turnout differential from 2000 will lean to Kerry, etc.
The one thing I knew this year was that many polls would be quite wrong, because the dynamic of who is voting and why is markedly different from elections in recent decades. Thus, GIGO applies... garbage in, garbage out.
A lot of wusses with long faces tonight!
