"What's happening with Wisconsin? The Milwaukee County vote projections are being analyzed, along with the western counties. Still too close to call, but it looks like whatever happens in the dem urban area might be offset by a relatively better than 2000 performance by Bush in western counties. last I saw wisconsin with 50% reporting was 50-49 for Kerry (713k to 700k)"
Bush is doing better in all counties than he did in 2000. Gore beat Bush by only 5,000 votes in 2000. Wisconsin is going to be razor close in 2004.
Where's my martini?
Wisconsin race for President
1855 of 3540 precincts - 52 percent
John F. Kerry Dem 741,211 - 50 percent
George W. Bush (i) Rep 728,638 - 49 percent
Ralph Nader Ind 8,118 - 1 percent
I don't know about your martini, but I bought Pabst Blue Ribbon for old time's sake!
Gonna pop one open in a minute!
Milwaukee Guy, your scenario sounds like Minnesota. At this point, Bush is outperforming his 2000 numbers IN EVERY SINGLE Congressional District.
I crunched the RATIO of Bush Votes to Gore/Nader votes (got ot include Nader, he had 127,000 votes in 2000, here are the comparative ratios.
crunched the numbers on MN's 8 congressinal districts showing as of this moment, what the ratio of Bush votes cast vs Gore/Nader votes cast.
2000 2004
MN 01 Bush .94 Bush 1.25
MN 02 Bush .93 Bush 1.26
MN 03 Bush 1.008 Bush 1.04
MN 04 Bush .58 Bush .58
MN 05 Bush .39 Bush .40
MN 06 Bush .95 Bush 1.14
MN 07 Bush 1.22 Bush 1.34
MN 08 Bush .76 Bush 1.006
In a 75% voting state, that means victory. Hang on.
