People from the Main Line (eastern part of Pa.) sound like Katherine Hepburn.


I dont ! Im from Bryn Mawr.
And she wasnt from the Main Line. She went to school at Bryn Mawr and played a Main Line heiress.
Her voice was way too harsh and throaty.
We have polite dulcet tones thank you. ;-)

Kathrine Hepburn lived next door to my grandmother in CT. My grandmother remembered Hepburn climbing trees when she was a child. Hepburn was a puton and so was her accent.

She was born & bred in Conn.,but it's a closer accent than wardaddy's saying that Pennsylvanians having a SOUTHERN accent.LOL

I went to boarding school in Kingston...right oiutside of Wilkes Barre,so I am familiar with that sound.
