We're going to have to just listen to the radio,I guess...except that I don't get any radio signals after about 5:00P.M.

You need a new radio - may I suggest a SONY ICF 36 Weatherband/AM/FM/TV - mine is great!

The one I usually listen to is a Bose.

And the long range one doesn't pull in AM either,though I can get England. :-(
