Getting a little nervous about Jim Bunning in KY.
5% reporting, Bush is up 58-41 but Bunning is trailing 55-45, what is up with that?
I got this from redstate.com:
Polls Closed in Eastern 2/3 of KY By: Buckland
Early results:
Bush 62-38 (He won 59-41 in 2000)
Northup in CD-3 (supposed to be close)
Northup 61 Miller 36 with 23% of vote in. Local TV station has called it for Northup
Cd-4 (open seat)
Davis over Nick Clooney (George's Dad)
53-47 with 19% in
Senate Mongiardo over Bunning
55-44 with 17% in.
For the presidential and senate race, don't forget that the polls in Western Ky haven't closed, and that is where Bunning and Bush will do best.
I'm told CD-3 and CD-4 are bellwethers for the GOP.
Actually good news. Apparently, the first precincts reporting are heavily Democrat. That means Dubya is taking a sizable share of their vote as well. Numbers should go up for Bunning.
Also, Nick Clooney is losing. I'll drink to that.
