He probably really thought that the outstanding votes were his. Now that they have proven not to be what he had hoped they were, he is stuck and doesn't have the class to acknowledge defeat
Well it was never close. Actually they said earlier Teddy Kennedy was with him so I rather think their idea is to use their attorneys to make Bush look illegitimate. Now whether some of the other Dems with some degree of sense will argue this with them, who knows.
