And smoking
gotta run for now, be back in 2+ hours. keep the faith! flood talk radio with call-ins about the use of the skewed exit polls to fool Republican voters - the evening drivetime shows, the message they send, are critical to people who are voting after work! if they hear negative spin, they may just drive home.
Probably right!
Four years ago, I was an hour late to work because I stayed up until 3:30 am watching the results and overslept.
If there are long lines, voting continues until the line is gone. I don't know how they cap the line at the closing time.
The suspense and the shameless attempt to steal this election by the MSM is driving me batty.
Geo and Laura looked so positive and presidential this am...fingers tightly crossed...and yes, I did vote today!
Bump for later!
I live in Ohio, and my husband came home early so we could pack our lawn chairs and umbrellas and vote. Turns out, deputy was there, two local candidate supporters, and us. We were 100 something. VERY strong Republican area I live in.
We usually vote after work (me in my Nancy Reagan red Liz Claiborne suit) and have to wait in line, and the place is PACKED with folks passing out literature for their candidates. Has always been this way - since 1995.
It is also the time Kucinich's thugs start roughing folks up at the polls to drive out GOP voters (we moved out of his district when he won).
Yep, I would say you are right based on this anecdotal information. ; )
Three hours. Amazing.
I'd suppect that a fair number of want change too - control of the borders, for instance. If Bush wins we want some significant improvements in national security
Here is another good link to results:

I hope other states are not incorrect like Texas is on that map as far as poll closing time. It says 8pm CST. Not correct. It is 7pm CST.
that's funny, or strange... I didn't know Gore was on the ballot this time.
Have you ever heard of Tokyo Rose.geeze!
