Thanks for the note, Chi-One. I vote in the evening in West Chicago and while voters weren't lined up, it was still pretty busy. I was a little alarmed to see a number maybe 4 lone young women come in to vote. (This demographic has a terrible voting pattern.) Wondering if/how the Dems may have drummed up this vote.

I'm somewhat concerned about Keyes 'concession' speech. I see it's being made available on keyes2004.com and want to save further remarks until I get to hear/read it in it's entirety. You all may wish to do the same.

Hey EV, everything I told you months ago happened, now Keyes is destined to obscurity, and the IL Republican party is damaged as hell and won't recover for a long time.

Better to not run a candidate than a loser (proven over and over and over) like Keyes.

You're way too shortsighted.

I was right, wasn't I?

Shortsighted would be running a loser like Keyes, knowing he would lose, horribly and causing ruin to the local party.

Have fun EV, you missed the mark 180 degrees this time.

You still don't know what you're talking about.

Keyes didn't 'bring ruin' to the IL GOP. It was in ruins when he got here.

And it's in ruins because of a bunch of corrupt leftwing party leaders, not because of Alan Keyes.

But I can tell you this. There are over 1.3 million Illinoisans who have the sense to ignore the MSM's twisted demoralizing propaganda and vote for bold and unapologetic conservatism.

They are the future of the IL Republican Party and this State; not the unprincipled hacks who constantly talk just like you.

Did you pop the cork on a champaign bottle when your hero Obama won?

Sure thing EV, keep wearing them rosy colored glasses. Denial is a pathetic thing.

Obama ain't my hero, but my feet are on the ground, I wasn't part of the Keyes cult like you evidently are, oblivious to logic.

Maybe in a few weeks you will wake up and see that Keyes should never ever run for office again.

That's true. Barack Obama was an attractive, smooth-spoken, nice guy. You can hate his politics but love him. We can be thankful the Democrats didn't have one like him at the top of their presidential ticket or Tuesday night might have been a different story.

"From all evidence Daley doesn't know there is a presidential election underway. Have not heard one peep from him about this election, no endorsement of Kerry nothing. Very odd. "

He's got the rats trained better than Skinner, or any of his students could dream of.

The election's over. Get over it.

Alan never promised a win. He promised a fight; which he delivered on.

Lots of good things have and will come out of this race.

And at least now the real Republicans of Illinois know who the enemy is. And not all of them have a 'D' by their name...

He's an empty suit. Check out his record, or watch the three debates he had with Keyes, and you can't draw any other conclusion.

It was disappointing to hear Obama say in one of his interviews the senate would still need 60 votes. He's not going with a mindset to get anything done for the people.

The margin is too wide to find discrepancies in his votes but it sure would be nice to have him recalled.

Yeah. I guess Daschle has passed the mantle of obstructionism.

It didn't do him any good either.

The agony of defeat cant be expressed but I'm sure Keyes is proud of the votes he received. 1,371,882 a good start

Keyes is a loser, proven once again, get over it, honestly, before you shave your head and start playing the tambourine at the airport for him.
