Arrived at my polling place at 7:15 AM , about 40 people in line, usually there is 3 or 4, all the people seem to be average church going type people, no MTV types, no one under 25., voting went smoothly with the electronic equipment, last time we had glitches., out the door by 8:15 AM
No MTV people because its too early for them because they don't have jobs, they don't wake up until after noon.
good point
Hey, buddy. I'm sure the vote in CA will be the same as it is here in The Peoples Democratic Republic of Massachusetts. No drama for the presidential vote, though several Repubs are looking good for state offices.
We have absolutely nothing going for us here.
We will get our local congressman re elected,
but otherwise its all Dummies down to the school board level
Voted here in south Orange county at around 715am. Had a problem with the machine, it kept taking me back to page one (presidential race), and I had to keep re-selecting Bush-Cheney, then it took me to page two, but then when I turned the selector dial it took me back to page one again. After 2-3 rounds of this, I asked for help. She came over, made me demonstrate the problem, it repeated itself, but then it finally stayed on page 2 and let me continue. Am concerned about this causing other people problems... but for some reason am hesitant to report it to... who? Orange County Registrar of Voters? Anyway, I am sure all my votes were cast, I double checked for that at the end. What do you think?
Bush Takes California.
I just voted several miles away, in Placentia, and saw the same thing. It's conservative here in O.C., but the sights would be different in downtown LA or san Francisco.
That would be awesome, but I think we can unfortunately file that under "ain't gonna happen"! I'd be more than happy to have to eat my words, though!
Even though I feel my vote is pretty much useless in the final tally, living here in the SF Bay Area, it felt good to vote for Bush/Cheney and Bob Jones.
I saw the booths at the mall but decided to go the old fashion way. Just to avoid any possible confusion.
Oh, interesting. Just checked my yellow "voter instructions" and it doesn't say anything about which way to turn it. Thanks, seared.
*sigh*
In our dreams
I voted for Bill Jones for the Senate. I think the Republican Party gave up on him before the primary though. I've seen dozens of ads for Barbara Boxer, and not one for Jones.
Buena Park?
You DID vote for John Brantuk, right? We were up past midnight last night going up and down Beach Blvd. getting the last of his signs out.
Yeah but,
We are getting a massive turnout and I don't know about them.
Has anyone heard from the Dummie locations?
Alaska -- 100 waiting at 7 AM. Everybody looked good, sharp, well-behaved, sober. 5 deg above zero, a foot of snow. Out at 7:30 AM, 200 waiting. Big turnout.
YES. It happened for Reagan, and it can happen for Bush. I feel that, with all that has taken place, the whole country (give or take a very vocal and even more obnoxious minority of rats) can just hardly wait to get out and vote for Bush today.
One with God is a majority -- yea, a landslide!
