I live in a very conservative county in FL. While there are Planned Parenthood types here, they mostly keep a low profile.
I'm not aware of any organized effort to cut United Way funding to PP up here. I know, however, that the United Way has had a lot more trouble meeting its fund-raising goals in the last few years. I think that this is more due to the publicity over Boy Scout funding than PP, however.
Lots of local businesses (mostly the larger employers) used to push their employees very hard for an annual donation to the United Way to get "100% participation". This happened to me back when I was working, and I told my boss in no uncertain terms that I was not donating to the United Way, since I do not support several of the organizations they fund.
There has been a lot of employee backlash (not just me!) against those practices, and I don't think it happens nearly as much anymore.
As to Kerry's support here, my county went over 70% to Bush yesterday. I think that any PP demonstrations for Kerry (if there were any - I didn't see them) were just as likely to have hurt him as helped him in this area.

That person did not know of any examples. It might be that this was a false alarm, but I think some people learned some things about Planned Parenthood that might make them think twice about giving the United Way.
In my opinion, there needs to be a FREEPER effort against Planned Parenthood, because of what was posted in the body of the thread about what Life Dynamics was able to expose.
Glad to hear your county was Bush country.
Bush won by almost 1000 times the number of votes in Florida than he won by in 2000.
