Gut-check time

I'm nervous.

Are you?

Tomorrow, we could have a president-elect who is a man with very bad character traits and a record of working with the enemies of our country.

There is no way to sugar-coat it.

For me personally, this has been the most wrenching presidential election in my lifetime.

I felt very strongly that Al Gore would be a political disaster for America. The administration in which he served as second banana for eight years had targeted me personally for political dirty tricks. It had hurt this country badly by covering up major Islamic terrorist attacks and mischaracterizing them as "accidents" or the work of others. It was an administration marked by lies, deceit, fraud and mysterious deaths.

Yet, despite all that, I still could not bring myself to endorse George W. Bush for president. I had severe misgivings about him – particularly with regard to his domestic agenda and his commitment to the Constitution.

Those misgivings have only been confirmed after four years.

Yet, the only alternative we have to a second term of Bush – like it or not – is John Kerry.

And, predictably, following the national security disasters of eight years of Bill Clinton, we now find ourselves in a global conflict with Islamic terrorism. We were attacked Sept. 11, 2001, in a way that could no longer be attributed to others nor dismissed as an accident. We were attacked massively – the worst attack ever on American soil.

Therefore, I believe it is a moral imperative that we re-elect George W. Bush today.

Admittedly, this is a vote I cast defensively – to protect myself, my family and my country from an enemy of the United States. I refer not only to Osama bin Laden and the evil ideology he represents. I refer, too, to John Kerry.

Some are too young to understand why I use such harsh rhetoric about Kerry. Some are too forgetful. Some never understood what John Kerry represented in the first place and still do not understand what he represents today.

He is a traitor.

I refer not to his scandalous activities while serving in Vietnam – though they are shameful. I refer to what he did when he returned.

There is no longer any doubt about what he did.

He lied about U.S. policy in Vietnam. He lied about the actions of our troops while they continued to fight for the freedom of the Vietnamese people and while many of our brave soldiers were still being held in prison camps. He met at least twice with the enemy in Paris. He took political direction from that enemy – representatives of the communist totalitarian government in Hanoi.

He gave aid and comfort to those enemies. He did their bidding here in the United States. And, tragically, he built a political career on that subversion.

There are only a couple words in the English language that describe that kind of activity – treason, sedition, treachery.

He is unfit to command. He is unfit to lead. He is unfit to serve in the White House. He is unfit even to run for the presidency. He is unfit to serve in the U.S. Senate.

However, because of the nature of politics in America, he continues to be seated in the Congress. He continues to run for the presidency. And today he could be elected to the highest office in the land.

We cannot allow that to happen.

Vote for George W. Bush today and defend America – not just from the enemies without, but, more importantly, from the enemies within.

The thing is 6 months ago Farah went on and on about how he couldn't vote for Bush.

Kerry didn't change any in this time.

He was the same traitor then as he is now.

Why couldn't Farah figure this out until now?

Well at least you're trying to get it right scripter. I applaud you for your honesty in discussing your own past and leaving yourself open to attacks from some who may not be so forgiving.

In the end, you've got it right because what happens matters to you. It matters to us too.

I'm nervous. Are you?

For whatever reason, no. I am not even a little nervous. I really believe we are going to take this election right out of the teeth of massive RAT voter fraud. The people of this great nation will not allow someone of John Kerry's caliber in the White House. I have faith in my fellow Americans.

The Dems are the minority in congress. They won't get very far.

Good question. While I enjoy reading WND and Farah, and maybe it's just me, but I don't understand Farah's position at times.

I believe you're confusing me with the author of the article, Joseph Farah... Besides that, I've been here 4 years!

I hope you're right. I said similar things about Clinton in 1996 and ended up eating crow. I'm still baffled over this country re-electing Clinton and I haven't forgotten what that crow tasted like...

Dear Fellow FReepers:

BE OPTIMISTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am predicting a Bush landslide. I think Bush will take PA early on so we can all savor the returns.

I believe Bush will take over 340 Electoral Votes.

I predict that Kerry will wait until Wednesday at the earliest to concede despite overwelming evidence that he lost.

In other words, he, KERRY, will be a loser at the start and finish of this election.

If you do not believe me then I ask this question to all the great people I've met in this forum over the past several weeks.

"Would you stand in line 6 hours to vote "against" a candidate, or would you be more inclined to stand in line, even in the rain, to vote "for" someone?"

I see in those lines of early voters in Florida and Ohio alot of people with children and older folk. I cannot believe that these people are there to vote "against" a man who, if nothing else, has not wavered in his resolve since 9/11.

To the contrary I believe these people are standing in line out of respect for our troops and President. I think it's their silent and personal way of showing their support.

I also think that, like many of us here, they are scared at what might happen to us if Kerry is elected.

My friends THE POLLS ARE WRONG!!!! DO NOT DESPAIR!!!

I am predicting a Bush landslide, because I believe in the goodness of the American people and I cannot believe that the majority of voters in this country "hate our president."

ALSO, in the history of this country in a time of war, the incumbent has always won. AS IT SHOULD BE!!!!!!

May God bless this country and all of you at FR. It's been fun.

Sincerely,

Nick

PS-Head coach Mike Tice of the Vikings introduced the President in Minnesota over the weekend, Brett Favre called people in Wisconsin for the Pres... Curt Shilling and Arnold did what they could do in Ohio... and General Swartzkopf campaigned in Florida..

Let me ask you...who does Kerry have backing him besides... Bruce Springsting.. who sings about as good as I do on a bad day......

Go to bed and be confident... :-)

While I believe Bush will win, I'm nervous about what Kerry will do to this country and how his policies will affect our children.
