Somebody get some big band aids.

They are slitting their wrists at DU. They were so happy about the 15-15 tie.

Dixville has 26 registered voters, so 19-7 is logical - Plus I saw a shot of them posting the results live. Who came up with the 15-15? Probably Ron Reagan the only troll on cable news. Other libs (Matthews, Colmes) are useful idiots...Ron is just a troll.

Anyone know of the results from Hart's Location, the other midnight voters in NH?

The Republican poll watchers must have beat up a few voters.

Heard this mentioned on WBZ radio (Boston) at 1 am. Yes, the tradition continues of the midnight vote in the tiny northern NH town which features a huge hotel, the Balsams, but not too many residents.

Article:
http://www.freep.com/voices/columnists/erdz27_20040127.htm

Dixville Notch picked GW Bush and Bill Bradley in the '00 _primary_...

This year: "Wesley Clark won Dixville with 8 votes. Sen. John Kerry had 3, Sen. John Edwards 2 and Howard Dean and Sen. Joe Lieberman 1 each... In balloting by Republicans, President Bush running unopposed received 11 votes in Dixville"
-----
New Hampshire has bucked the trend of picking the winner in the primaries and the finals. If you go to Concord, right near the State House there's another State building which has tiles near the sidewalk which tell who won the state in a given year. In '92, it was Paul Tsongas in the NH Dem primary(but Clinton finished 2nd and proclaimed himself "the Comeback Kid") and Pat Buchanan was the Rep. winner.

NH PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY--not always picking the eventual nominee: In '84: Gary Hart beat On-The-Fritz Mondale (D)
In '00: McCain beat W (R)
In '96: Pat Buchanan beat Dole (R)
In '64: Henry Cabot Lodge beat Goldwater (R)

In 2000, statewide:
Bush-Cheney 273,559
Sore-Loserman 266,348 (had a few thousand more votes for Algore shown up, we would have had Algore running for re-election today)

Bush wins Dixville Notch and moves out to an early lead in
the state of New Hampshire at one second past midnight.
