Osama bin-Laden is convinced he can manipulate our elections, and true to form, he is cleverly trying to use our electoral system to divide us. His biggest foe is his own EGO and meglamania, which he covers up with his misguided plan for a global Islamic state. In his state of mind, reality is difficult for him to grasp.
Americans are proud of their freedom and heritage of triumphing over evil. Bin-Laden gazes over the famous 2000 map of US counties, devising a plan to divide and conquer. Of course he cannot know the spirit of our peoples, divided as ever in the throws of another Presidential Election.
The nation of the blues and reds has seen 43 peaceful transfers of power, and despite a civil war, unpopular wars like Vietnam, the Civil Rights Movement and close elections decided by the Supreme Court, we remain Americans united by the strengths of our republican democracy. Perhaps looking back at this pivotal time in our history, we will find a new meaning in the colors of our flag, flying over the United States of America.
