My Son May be Dead

Posted on 11/01/2004 5:38:38 PM PST by american_ranger

Tomorrow I and my wife will vote for George W. Bush. Tonight, I heard on the radio that an Army soldier was killed in an ambush in southeast Afghanistan. My son is stationed in southeast Afghanistan. I checked Fox news and they have an article about a US soldier killed and two wounded in a patrol near Orgun. My son is on a patrol near Orgun. I do not care if it is him, tomorrow we will still vote for Bush. God bless America and God bless President Bush.

I have not told my wife. She is worried enough that Kerry might win. She does not need this additional worry.

We're praying for you and your strength. We're also
praying for the family of the trooper if it isn't your son. They all deserve our prayers.

Keep in mind that soldiers don't patrol alone. There were probably many in this patrol as you well know. Buddies stick together. Chances are, your boy is fine.

We know, however, that someone has been lost, and this is what happens, however sadly, when young heroes like your son saddle on their patriotic responsibilites to the rest of us. We cry not in our loss, however great it is, but in our undying admiration of these fine young men.

God bless you, God bless your son, and God bless the USA!

I can not imagine what you are going through, and what agony it must be on a daily basis to have a son stationed overseas. Hopefully your son is safe. And hopefully we'll win this war soon and all of our boys will be coming home. Their mission is just, and they are doing it with unbelievable honor. But of course they are...they're Americans. Good luck, and God bless.

I pray that Tuesday is the best day of your life. I pray that not only do you hear that your son is well, but also that our president has been re-elected.

May God keep your entire family in the palm of His hand.

Prayers and comfort to you and your entire family, and safety to your son.

I wish there was a way to reach across a computer screen to hold a hand in comfort.

Rest easy. The military tries to contact the family as soon as possible. If you haven't been visited by the chaplain and CACO, odds are you've nothing to worry about.

That being said, I'll say a quick prayer for you and yours.

Intercession from here!!! Let's all let him be in Jesus hands. An d prayers for the family of that brave soldier killed, "Greater love hats no man!" And prayers for the injured, and prayers of protection to all the other gallant defenders of Freedom. And prayers for the man chosen by God to lead us. Let us be faithful enough to God that he we give a leader of His choosing. Let is also have a heart of gratitude for to God for President Bush being our President in these times that have been and are trying.
