Re your post #13, sometimes I wish that I lived in an urban area (but the feeling passes) just so I could cancel my subscription to the local liberal rag. It would please me immensely to get pleading calls from their circulation department, which would allow me to tell them what they can do with their paper.
You and I are on the same wave length. The MSM is real danger of imploding around the country if we "Mondale"
their boy Kerry tomorrow. This is why they have thrown away their mask of not being biased. They fighting for their survival as well as the survival of the post Nam Rat party.
You posted:
The present intense levels of media bias
are not just the tail end of post-JFK negativism, and
are not just the peak of the post-Vietnam arc of
collectivist infestation of the media, and
are not just the decline of print media vs. the internet, and
are not just the breakup of the legacy media monopoly by
alternative and emerging media ...
It's all of the above, happening all at once, and flowing
directly to the bottom line, and then to the paychecks.
A Kerry win is the only chance these propagandists have of
slowing their decline (via hoped-for legislation damaging
talk radio, the internet free speech and "media
conglomeration (aka Fox)).
A Bush win is a cataclysmic outcome. They can't handle it.
I expect Enron-class revelations in the near future.
