I was a cave dweller too. Actually got on the air one night to joke about being in the cave.
I lived in NC four years ago, and during the 2000 election debacle Steve's late night WABC show got me through it. I was able to pick up WABC about 6pm and also remember hearing him paired with Richard Bay. I enjoy listening to Steve's new show but will miss him on Sun mornings.
