I voted early Friday before last in Okaloosa County, Florida, which gave Bush 74% of its vote in 2000 (large active/retired military presence, plus bible belt). The line was an hour long, growing even longer when I left. The turnout in 2000 in Okaloosa County was 70%, and the Supervisor of Elections is predicting an 80% turnout this election. So we in the Florida panhandle will do our part, just need a little help from the rest of the state and Bush will carry Florida.

I happened to be in St. Augustine, FL, this weekend, and had the opportunity to "survey" a lot of cars with the heavy traffic on I-10 -- football fans driving home after the Florida/Georgia game. Of the hundreds of autos with political stickers, I am happy to report that the overwhelming majority were Bush/Cheney.
