it won't get down to $25-35 again (unless we have a recession), but $40-45 is "about right" - once the speculative component is removed, and the buyers are actually those who want to consume crude oil - rather then use it as an investment vehicle, or for politics as in this case.
I'm in Missouri. I am more glad than ever, but I do feel your pain (not in a Clintonesqe way).
Major and independent Buyers are buying Bonny Light Crude Oil (Nigerian Crude) at a discount up to $12.00 off the DTD three day average (per bbl)(FOB). The big expense right now is getting double hulled tankers. A double hull VLCC is now running $100,000 to $125,000 per day. 14 days from loading to the US makes for pricey transportation. (The US allows only double hulled tanker in US ports.)
Oh really? So then why didn't they use it?
I blame Bush, Cheney, Haliburton, Grover, Fozzy the Bear, Exxon, The NWO, CFR, PTA, and the Tidy Bowl Man. On behalf of us all, thank you.
heating oil has dropped $5.00 as well. Short sellers see a Bush election and are in big trouble.
That's what I'm thinking. Prices have been driven up by those targeting our economy to make the President look bad.
That would include the billionaires, China, and OPEC.
Moore's rant about Bush ties to Saudi are absolutely laughable. The Saudis have done everything in their power to hurt this president....to include OIL!
Dear Santa,
I asked for John Kerry to win in November's election last Christmas and you didn't grant me my wish - now I have to file bankruptcy for spending millions on a loser...Please send money...
Signed,
George Soros
From your lips to God's ears.
(Not to mention Santa.)

dang it!! i just succomed to a fuel efficient automobile!!!already miss my truck
So, what'd you bet him? Jewelry?
In SD, I'm paying $1.95 today. Don't blame Congress for all of your gas taxes; CA charges state (7.25 - 8.75 depending on location) not only on the fuel prices, but also on the fed & state fuel taxes. Sales tax alone is giving you 15-20 cents per gallon.
According to Horacio Paras, media office with Board of Equalization, state and local sales taxes on gasoline were first implemented in 1972 at 5%. Before that, sales and use taxes on gasoline were not collected.
Federal and California Fuel Excise Taxes On Gasoline Since 1990
(Current as of January 2004)
TOTAL EXCISE TAXES
33.4¢ per gallon: Fed = 18.4¢/gallon; state = 18.0¢/gallon
PLUS Add local and state sales tax to the total.

What do you win?
Are you kidding.......if he's wrong he'll say he doesn't remember the conversation.
We just traded in our 13 yr. old Dodge Ram Charger for a Subaru........believe me, I MISS THAT TRUCK
