Kind of reminds me of the "old Heads council" in Braveheart.
You know, the seen here Mel Gibson wanted everyone to put aside their differences and unite against the common enemy and the short-sighted and and petty old men kept coming up with new conditions before they would actually unite against the common enemy.
IMHO that is no different than if post 9-11 France or England etc. has said
"first we have to get the USA to stop supporting Israel,"
- or -
"first we have to get the USA to move its missiles off European soil"
- or -
"first we have to get America to ratify Kyoto."
It is not whether their objections (or ours) are right or wrong. It is about setting aside our differences and uniting against these murderous thugs (I note that the murderous tugs have no trouble setting aside THEIR differences).
I repeat.
SHAME ON YOU!!

Putin is the murderous thugs' overlord and controller. So are the Chinese. People who give nuclear weapons to terrorist nutjobs in the hope they will use them on us - or on Israel - are not our friends. As for the Chechens, the Russians do not need our help to torch Chechnya, they've been doing that regularly for years without our aid. Islam is a sword, there are hands that wield it. Some in the east, some in the west. Some in this country. Whole political parties, whole great powers. If you think it is mere bickering that we aren't all one big happy family united against them, you are the one dreaming. Bin Laden knew we had enemies, that is why he expected support and applause for attacking us. And got it, too.

"Is this a global war on terror or is that just a political talking point?" It is a war for us. I wonder if the Russian people would like to join in. We have yet to hear the answer. Maybe you aren't listening?
Putin has stated he would like to form an International alliance to fight these barbarians on a world wide front.
Over 80 countries lost people in the towers on 9-11, including Russia. And the Russian people held candlelight vigils for us ...
Maybe, just maybe?, it's time for us to start getting along? We have enough to hate and fight against with our common enemy...the Barbarians. And that is just what we need to do. They need to know that the civilized world has had more than enough - we are going to shut them down - we will surround them and round them up and bury them...

I'm listening. I'm just not getting a clear message yet. What is Russia's position on Iran?

First you have to get Putin to stop giving nuclear technology to nutjobs in Iran. (Crickets chirp). Oh. And maybe make sure sKerry doesn't give Iran nuclear fuel in return for a promise to be good...as he is determined to to - as they did with North Korea -
I wonder if Russian folk aren't saying - "stop the Americans from their plans (sKerry isn't the only Senator to think this way,) to give N-fuel to Iran. Look how they gave all the help to N. Korea in return for a promise not to build the bomb...and then never checked up on them>"

OK, so we provide medical treatment for a Russian girl...bad...bad U.S.
The question remains...what has Russia done for us lately?
