South Bend, IN - The South Bend Police Department says it will not maintain a presence inside local schools on Election Day.
The police department originally planned on placing officers in schools that would serve as polling places; The schools will be open to the public on Election Day, which is causing concern for some parents.
But the election board has asked police not to provide on-site security this Tuesday.
South Bend Police say they do not want to interfere with the political process and while they will not be positioned inside schools, they will step up patrols outside polling places.

But the election board has asked police not to provide on-site security this Tuesday. Of course, It is more important that we do not 'intimidate' a voter who might have reason to want to avoid the police than it is to protect our children. Ask any Democrat.

I will be working at a polling precinct Tuesday, inside a school, in their library. But in Texas, we all carry handguns, so we are safe

Haha You know you can't bring a handgun into a school in Texas. :) Not legally, anyway.

This stinks to high heaven. Police have always been present at polling places, all over the U.S. of A. There can be only two reasons the South Bend Election Board told the police to stay away from polling places: 1. They plan on engaging in election fraud, or 2. They were mau-maued by black racists and other Democrats, who plan on engaging in election fraud.
