Osama: "Let's call the whole thing off"

"Let's call the whole thing off"

Does the bin Laden tape signal an approaching end game? Bin Laden can't prevail against "the Chicago way."

This morning, reviewing the transcript of Osama bin Laden's videotape appearance this week brought to mind a scene from 1987's hit crime drama, The Untouchables:

Police Officer Jim Malone to Eliot Ness: "If Capone comes at you with a knife, you go after him with a gun. If he sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue. That's the Chicago way! And that's how you get Capone!" I am wondering whether bin Laden has started to realize that since 9/11, America has been fighting al Qaeda the Chicago way. Consider the evolution of his rhetoric until yesterday.

Have to agree. OBL appeared to be asking for a truce.

Dear Osama - we understand the bigotry of low expectations. Bush is changing the landscape in the ME to ensure that Muslims enjoy liberty and prosperity and are in control of their own destiny - as opposed to the UN sponsored tyrants now in place.

But you & your kind won't be around to witness it.

May your 42 virgins all resemble Theresa Heinz Kerry

Kerrry is licking his lips at the chance to negotiate a 'settlement' with Osama.

Mark this: if Kerrry is elected, he WILL enter into some disgraceful arrangement with the enemy. This is his track record.

Interesting perspective. I hope he's right and the advice at the end is dead on.

The chastened monster remains a monster. He's marked for death, he now realizes--much too late--that he's marked for death, and he's been forced to recognize how very, very wrong was his assessment of the will and the strength of America and her allies.

I seem to recall Ralph Peters writing about the Western way of war: relentless, crushing, as brutal as circumstances require.

Welcome to war with the West, Osama. Ask not for whom our special ops meat-eaters search; they search for you.

Maybe we should hear what this Bin Ladin creep said.
If you don't attack another country then we will not attack you.
Maybe with all this talk about Iran being next, Iran is getting ready to deal with Bin Ladin. He's probably there. They may be getting nervous. This may be the clue we needed.
I don't think Syria would have allowed him in. I don't think he made it to Pakistan. Too obvious.
I think he's in Iran with the approval of their government.
If the U.S. attacks Iran, they will destroy Bin Ladin's body before we could ever discover it there.
I think he's very nervous sitting in Iran.
My thoughts!

One thing that's been interesting to me in watching Kerry is how he thinks like an Arab when it comes to "the truth".

Anyone that has had any dealings with Arabs knows that their concept of "the truth" has nothing to do with what we in the west call "the truth". To an Arab, "the truth" of a matter is whatever they can get you to agree the truth is. So, to an Arab, they will lie all they can get away with to get you to believe and agree with what they say.

Actually, not only does Kerry comport himself in the same Arab fashion but the entire Democrat party does too. They attempt to manufacture a "truth" by saying what normal people identify as falsehoods over and over.

As far as Bin Laden. To me, it does not matter what he says or does. The only truth I want to see for him is a nasty death. Along with those that support him. No quarter, no negotiation, no mercy. Cut them all into little pieces in the most dramatic and horrid ways we can construct. That's the Arab way too. And that works for me!

"Can't we all just get along?"

Sounds to me like OBL has hired Rodney King as his new political advisor.

Really great read.

Now, with Kerry's stance on cancelling the bunker Buster bomb program, do you think for ONE MINUTE this 'we can work it out" tape would've been forthcoming>=? No effing way. OBL, knowing Kerry will not agree to us defending ourselves, would not wait to pass the Global Test for approval to continue murdering infidels. OBL would signal a full court press.

We have Ulysses S. Grant to thank for the way America wages war. Accept no terms from the enemy except their unconditional surrender to us. It's how he took Vicksburg and became the model for victory in the Civil War. In WW2, the Western Allies were reluctant to force an unconditional surrender on Germany. The American staffs so no other way to insure lasting peace: cut a deal now and they'll be back later. (Even Stalin would accept nothing less than Hitler's unconditional surender.)

Once the Allies were clearly in the driver's seat aginst both Germany and Japan, Britain and the other Western Europeans spoke of nothing else but an unconditional surrender.

Me too, when I read the thing my first thought was, this guy is surrendering. He just wants to be left alone and knows that his "STUPID" attack accomplished nothing except the liberation of Afgan and Iraq and threatens Syria and Iran. The guy is a loser and he's getting old and just wants to fade away.

I thought I must be wrong until I read your post and realized that other's got the same impression.

It'd be interesting if Kerry declared his willingness to accept this bin Laden 'olive branch'. Kerry might say, 'I declare victory and am now going to bring the troops home. Live and let live, that's the new order, the third way.' What would the voters think? Ten days or so ago, the NYTimes begged voters to forget 9/11, put it out of their minds. It never happened. This was all but ignored, so they got busy with the bogus missing explosives story.

The bottom line with Osama and his ilk is that they've gotten their butts kicked big time by GW and they don't like it. Any time outs awarded them will be used to train more killers who will then infiltrate western society. He hasn't given up on Jihad for one minute. Anyone who thinks so should buy that bridge in Brooklyn.

The 5000 Fallujah fools are about to get a first-hand lesson in the Western way of war (something they should have seen months ago, to be sure).

Perhaps it's their islamic belief that emboldens them to die, but it's certainly our Marines who are going to kill them.

Stolen from another freeper ... Bin Laden couldn't send the bomb so he sent the silly tape instead.

It's obvious that OBL took the MM film and Kerry speeches and had someone write up what he spoke. Sure didn't look like someone talking from a position of strength.

Anyone else notice his buds were no where to be seen ... LOL
