Just heard from a well-connected Washington Republican studying the polls intensely. He said he wasnt surprised by the reports that polls conducted Friday night had Kerry surging.
Weekends are always bad for us. It's common to see Kerry do well on Friday and Saturday nights. The weekends look good for kerry and then turn back to about +3 for us when weekend is washed out. I think you'll see the same thing in tomorrow's tracking polls.
My guess: Are GOP voters not answering phones because they're out at high school football games?

Scroll down and read his other entries, esp from Obe Wan.
I've be reading on FOX online and a few other places that CBS is planning to hurl another zinger on BUSH today or tomorrow. Anyone hear this too, or know what it might be?
Also, I've seen scattered reports, including from KERRY SPOT, that the returns from early voting in Florida show BUSH way ahead. Any confirmation on this? How about elsewhere?

Limbaugh's addressed the weekend thing before. Apparently Dems are more likely to sit on their butts at home on the weekends, so they are over represented in weekend polls. The Dems know and count on this.
I think they CBS thing is correct, I don't think the Ammo story was the complete Oct. suprise. I think they are going to hit again.
I remeber Rove saying we had a couple of suprises for October, but nothing has come out yet.
Two things I thought would come out by now:
1. A video of Kerry burning the flag
2. Kerry's military records showing a less than unhonorable discharge
I don't expect anything at this point.
THE OCTOBER SURPRISE IS THIS:
WE'RE AT WAR PEOPLE, YOU DON'T CHANGE PRESIDENTS WHEN YOU'RE AT WAR. THIS COUNTRY HAS NEVER DONE THAT BEFORE...

I let my anwering machine screen all calls.
Sixty MInutes is going to blame Bush for soldier deaths due to lack of body armor and armored humvees. Gee I heard just the opposite about early voting in Florida. I hope you'er right. Source?
I think the pollsters just call a few bars and ask the bartender for a show of hands. Hey - its Friday night and the pollster wants to get home.
GWB should just hold an election eve Press-Conference at the White House...right during 60 Minutes time slot...with Tommy Franks at his side, reading a prepared speech about the supposed missing explosives, then one about "letting" UBL get away at Tora Bora. Then taking questions until, oh, about midnight. And just frankly shut down 60 minutes...and with that smooth move...Jean k'ERRY
But that's not fair!
My source on the early voting was from KERRY SPOT Friday afternoon. He was quoting people in the BUSH campaign. He said that BUSH was several thousand ahead.
He also said that internal BUSH polls were strong and no panic in the ranks.
Go back and skim through KERRY SPOT from the last 24hrs and it is encouraging for me.

LOL. Makes about as much sense as the rest of their methodology :)
Well, since there are no "returns" from early voting here, the polls have to be some type of exit polling, and nobody ever asked me anything.
However, although the Kerry supporters are very visible, they don't impress me. Bush is ahead here,.
ARe you in Florida?

I thought we would see some of the same things, but it is not too late.
Yes.
Bill, how do you see things from your vantage point?

John Kerry did so well in Friday night polls because there are so many fools and idiots voting in the United States.
That is also the reason that he has at least a 50-50 chance of becoming President.
I delibertly did not use the word :elected" because if John Kerry becomes President it will be because of vote fraud and court decisions.
While I am on my soapbox, every citizen of PA. who voted for Spectre should vote for the Democrat because he has already gone on record as saying that he would block President Bush's [if he is re-elected]judicial nominees.
But they won't. Why? Brcause he may be a sob, but he is our [Republican]sob. Ever heard that before, like during the years of 1992-2000?
Half of a republican is better than no republican at all.
