HIV doesn't cause a low platelet count, although the medicine for HIV causes low platelets.
I suspected he had an impacted gall stone so they grought in doctors to do an EGD and remove the stone via a long tube via the swtomach, and he got septic.
I suspect chronic leukemia or similar problem, despite what they say...

Actually ITP is a common manifestation of HIV infection, although it is usually seen early in the course.

Thrombocytopenia in late-stage disease is uncommon.

Kol Isreal, Isreal's short wave service 17535 khz, said yesterday afternoon ET that according to Palaestinian sources he doesn't have leukemia.

What's the most visible sign of an std? Lesions? Nothing's visible, though I can't say that I look too closely at pictures of Yassir Arafat.
